About Us

The West Valley Symphony was founded in 1991 by founder Ralph Baker. It is an all volunteer orchestra of 75-80 musicians from all over the Wasatch Front from Provo to Ogden.

about-usOur orchestra presents quality concerts with music ranging from Classical to Pops for West Valley City and surrounding areas. The West Valley Symphony of Utah performs at the Utah Cultural Celebration Center and is the official orchestra for the annual Larry H. Miller Christmas Carole Sing-Along. Additionally, we periodically join the Choral Arts Society of Utah at Abravanel Hall in Salt Lake City for their Days of ’47 Pops Concert.

The West Valley Symphony of Utah performs annually with the Choral Arts Society of Utah for the KUTV/Salvation Army Holiday Pops concert to benefit the Angel Tree Program, as well as participating in Utah Cultural Celebration Center’s WorldStage! concert series. We are often sought for additional events in surrounding communities (including Taylorsville Dayzz) and have performed local concerts with groups such as Imagine: Remembering the Fab Four and ABBACADABRA.
